Demos include: NACC Care Chef of the Year 2020 Winner - Tim Ware, Green Tree Court, Lexicon Health Care Tim will demo his Main of Butter roast chicken, Bombay potatoes, spinach, and shallot bhajis Highly Commended Main Course - Matthew Dodds from Gracewell of Ascot (South East Region) Matthew will demo his winning main course called 'Post-war ration meal' with poached saddle of rabbit, roasted shallots, baby carrots, crispy kale, fondant potato and a tarragon cream sauce Highly Commended Dessert - James Cotton from Cavendish Park Care Home by Majesticare (Midlands Region) James will be showing us his award winning Black Forest Bakewell Tart Simon Lawrence, Head of Culinary & Hospitality & Gareth Cartledge from Avery Healthcare Simon & Gareth will discuss the importance of hearty puddings on an evening and how comfort food can be a good way of stimulating appetite. He will demonstrate his favourite winter warmer of baked sweet fig and plum jam roly-poly with custard and flaked almonds. Simon & Gareth will be available for any questions and chat about their experience with the Care Chef of the Year competition and how it has helped elevate their careers.
